Mountain Mystic opened in June of 2013 by a Boone local. Breanna Brown Shockley graduated from Appalachian State University in 2011. She moved to Charlotte after she graduated. After trying a Mystic Tan at a salon in Charlotte, she decided to make her journey back to Boone.  There she opened the High Country's first ever machine spray tanning salon.  Breanna fell in love with the mystic tan machine and knew that is exactly what the Boone community and college students needed. Mountain Mystic has 2,500 clients and the number continues to grow through word of mouth and flawless results.
